Hi All
We are setting up a new OTRS 3.2 installation on openSUSE 12. So far all has gone well with the exception of mod_perl - when we run the Admin/Support plugin the results show that mod_perl is not active.
I would like to activate it as the otrs performance seems a little laggy.
We used Yast, and the OTRS 3.2 RPM installation, and in YAST have the mod_perl RPM installed, however I am getting mixed messages when searching on how to check that mod_perl is configured. Most docs I have found indicate that I should have a /modules folder under my /etc/apache2/ folder - I do not have this. I am now optimizing and tuning the installation.
I am not a linux newbie but not an expert either, however I am new to setting up OTRS and perl support in Apache2. I would be most appreciative of any suggestions. It feels like I am close but I don't want to mess up my apache config...

Re: mod_perl check? openSUSE/Apache2 Config?
check your /etc/sysconfig/apache2, you need to add "perl" in the apache_modules line and restart the webserver
Code: Select all
APACHE_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_file authz_host authz_groupfile authz_default authz_user autoindex cgi dir env expires include log_config mime negotiation setenvif ssl userdir php5 perl deflate rewrite status"
Produktiv:
