Error in Installation

Hi all,
I was looking to install OTRS for my internal team's ticketing system on our company's private network.
I am installing it on windows side. I do not want to run it on a localhost I want to run it on a domain, so that i can set up mailboxes so that my team members can be assigned tickets and start working on the system.

OOps it was stupid of me ..I did not post the question that i wanted to ask!!!!
So when I am setting up OTRS on windows side I want to run it on a domain. and each time i enter my domain(which is not localhost!) I get an error saying cannot connect to the database!
what can be done about this?

It means what it says.
It is not connecting to the database because:
firewall
database service not running
bad username
bad password
wrong specification of database location
gremlins

Any/all of the above. Maybe not the last.

Confirm otrs/Kernel/Config.pm is pointing properly and has the proper location and credentials to access the database.
