Error fetching email

Hi,
after that fetchmail was working for more than 6 month today I've got this error in Log: Can't create PID PostMasterMailbox, because it's already running. I think it was caused by a mail that was too big, so i've done some stuff that I found on the internet like check if I have more than one process running but it seems everything is ok.
The strange thing is that if I try to download mail manually by the admin panel sometimes it gives me the error POP3: Auth for user OTRS@hostname.com/mailer.ragno.it failed! but sometimes it works fine.
I've tried to restart the crons and also the server but nothing happpens.

Can someone give me some advice?
