(SOLVED) User account passwords on new Windows installs

Hi all,

why is it on any new installation of OTRS for Windows that I try, once I have done everything and reached the login page it never accepts either the root account password or new user 'otrs'.

Tried logging in with following user accounts + the password I know I've specified during installation, 'hot', *blank*

root
root@localhost
otrs
otrs@localhost

Whenever I try a new install out I have to use otrs.setpassword.pl before I can login.

I'm getting really sick of the difficulties I'm experiencing using OTRS on Windows servers. I hope my experience on Ubuntu soon is a bit more harmonious

the username is root@localhost with password root

it seems that you are mixing up database users with otrs frontend users
