Hello,
everytime I perfom an upgrade of OTRS between minor versions (e.g. 3.2.7 -> 3.2.8 and 3.2.8 -> 3.2.9) all my installed packages stop working and need to be reinstalled using the package manager. Is this the expected the behaviour after an upgrade?
I followed the upgrade instructions at http://doc.otrs.org/3.2/en/html/upgrading.html especially unpacking the TGZ in a new directory and linking /opt/otrs to it, copying the config files to the new installation, resetting the permission, rebuilding the config and clearing the cache.
Is there any way to avoid this?
Thanks for any help in advance

I'd say, "yes" because the implementation of packages and updates clobber respective .dtlscmile wrote:all my installed packages stop working and need to be reinstalled using the package manager. Is this the expected the behaviour after an upgrade?
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Re: Reinstall packages after upgrading minor versions
I feared you would say that, but I would really prefer if I would not have to reinstall every packet after each update, especially because I already managed to wreck an OTRS installation by reinstalling the packages in the wrong ordercrythias wrote:I'd say, "yes" because the implementation of packages and updates clobber respective .dtls
