Retiring agents in 3.1.12?

I am using OTRS Version: 3.1.12
I am using OS: Windows 7
I am using Database: MySQL
I have this problem: Worker no longer employed, still getting occasional follow-ups in his previous tickets. Would like to redirect such tickets to active agents.
I am encountering my issue on this screen: N/A
I can replicate the issue by: N/A
This is what I've tried: Searching the forums, but my search-fu is weak.
These are the posts I've found that are relevant, but don't seem to answer my question: N/A

My question is: How would I go about shifting the hundreds of tickets over to another agent's responsibility?

use Generic Agent for reassigning tickets

Forgive me, but I'm quite new at this.

I understand that the Generic Agent can be used to perform periodic tasks, but do you mean that it is possible to use it in a 'fire-and-forget' manner for occasional ticket reassignment? Or would I have to turn off the job after the reassignment?

you can just delete it or set it to invalid
