Help with new installation - installer.pl

Hi,

I have downloaded the installer otrs-3.2.10-win-installer-3.0.2 and am attempting to install this on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit server.

First part of the installation seemed to go ok, no errors, and when prompted I duly installed Active Perl 5.16.3 Build 1603. Everything seemed to run through fine.

I then get to the part of the installation that attempts to load installer.pl and none of the links on this page work. I cannot progress with the installation.

Also, it looks almost as if the css for the page hasn't loaded correctly as there's no formatting, no images etc.

Tried restarting the server, checking permissions etc, but cant find anything obviously wrong. No error messages in any of the windows event logs.

Am keen to try to test OTRS as I have heard good things about it, so any assistance would be most welcome.

It might help others to know that if this is a new server install, you will need to add additional IIS roles, not just the default that may be installed. I assumed that the OTRS installation would have handled this, but it did not.

discussed often here, howtos are in the otterhub wiki.
you have to configure many things manually. the latest installer does not do it. New installer will do it, I expect

im trying to install 3.2.9 and have same issue, when i come to step 3/5 css just crash and i cant continue with installation
any way to fix it, reply topic with correct answer or something cant find it here

or what installer version is working at this moment?

Similar. I launched the same installation package on windows server 2003. It stopped to tell me that I need to install active state perl first. Nice. The documentation says that perl is part of the package ..... Not.
Anyway cancelled and installed active state perl, then installed otrs ok then launched web installer and got message saying page cannot be displayed. I looked for Apache and could not locate it anywhere.
I assume the person who designed the windows install package also tested it.... Why can they not place their test install steps in the documentation just to share the knowledge ?
