Software to translate pm files

Hi.
Did not find any previous threads on the topic so I'm opening a new one.

I'm working on OTRS translations at the moment and use a regular text-editor (Notepad++) for that purpose.
Wonders, however, if there is a tool to make this easier and more effectively?
