Hi team,
I am very new to otrs.
Did a new install of 3.3 and it looks very good.
Now I am just wondering how to do this part.
I will create Companies under customer company administration, lets say
1 january
2 febuary
3 march
4 april
Now users from company january will need to register from the customer portal and get linked to company january.
The same should happen to all the other company as febuary users to febuary company.
This could happen maybe with the email domain.
The other thing is lets say user monday from company january once registered will only see tickets that he/she logged open or closed.
User friday could be set as an admin for company january and have access to all the tickets logged by his company, closed and open.
They should not be able to see any other company tickets as febuary or march.
Can anyone please suggest on how can this be achieved please?
Any help is welcome for this newbie.
Cheers,
Raj

Customers wouldn't (shouldn't?) be able to register themselves under existing companies.

Hi Crythias,
Thanks for the reply.
How can I get a customer only to see his own tickets and another user in the same company to see all the tickets of his own company only.
Do I need to create them manually, not looking forward for that but if needs done then needs done.
What do you suggest, what the best way.
Again thanks for the reply.
Cheers,
Raj

I suggest that you determine what you need, and ask questions that will result in the answer that applies to you.rajbps wrote:What do you suggest, what the best way.

Hi crythias,
Thanks for the pointers
Now i have one question, i created a few queues for different company.
How can I get their end users to register via the customer portal and they get allocated to their company queues.
Currently , i created a default group enable customet group and all go there.
Would be nice if i did not had to log on to grant the right queue access.
Again thanks for any pointers or help.

Don't use customer based queuesrajbps wrote:Now i have one question, i created a few queues for different company.
You provide queues for what tickets your agents are capable of handling.
The customer needs only tell you what they need to fix. By submitting a ticket, you already know who they are. They don't need to tell you again.
