No move notification email when generic agent moves ticket

Post by shomotrs »

Hello,
My first post on the forum...
OTRS 3.2.7 installed under Linux Debian squeeze on production environment.
Users have all notification preferences set to "Yes" and some queues selected under "My queues".

If an agent moves a ticket to a specific queue, the agents with this specific queue selected under "My queues" and move notification set to "Yes" receive the move notification email.

But when a generic agent moves a ticket to the same specific queue the agents don't receive any move notification email :( !!

I remember that I could see it working on an older version of OTRS. I looked everywhere in the forum or in the sysconfig parameters but I couldn't find anything to give me a clue. Is there a parameter to activate or deactivate somewhere ?

For me there isn't any difference between a generic agent or a real agent regarding mail notifications so I don't understand why mail notifications work when real agents move ticket and don't work when generic agent move ticket.

If you could, please, help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Thank you very much Crythias :D !!

Now I can remember what happened. When we put OTRS 3.2.7 into production our generic agents were programmed to write a note when moving tickets. But we found that it was not necessary so we erased the notification message in each generic agent and also switched the parameter from "Yes' to 'No' in order to prevent this message (even empty) to be notified to agents or customer.

I thought that the parameters in the agent preferences (move notification preferences and queues selected under "My queues") were enough to trigger this move notification email.

Now it works again. Thank you again, Crythias.
