Help with ORTS appliance setup please

So i have the iso downloaded, installed and up and running with a static ip address. I have setup a new agent aside from the default root user. My problem is ldap integration. If I go into admin, sysconfig, Frontend::Customer::Auth. I put in all of my ldap info: Host, BaseDN, UID, UserAttr, SearchUserDN, SearchuserPw,Params, and Die. I can go to the customer login page and it will let me login with any ad user but goes to:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Keep in mind that I am 100% new to this. I see all kids of configs that people have posted but I dont actually have easy access to those files as Im running the .iso appliance. My setup is that it is running on a esxi server as a vm so its seperate from my dc. Any help would be appriciated.
