SOLVED:E-Mail retrival error with enabled event notification
Hi,
as soon, as I enable an event email-notification, the e-mail retrical process stops working:
RAM Usage on the system bursts to the limit, the whole system stops responding.
As soon as I deacticate that notifier, and kill the process consuming the memory, the mail retrival works normal again.
Here is the output from bin/otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl:
bin/otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl -f 1
Wide character in print at /opt/otrs/Kernel/cpan-lib/Net/IMAP/Simple.pm line 1128, <GEN0> line 1.
IMAP: Message 1/1 (servicedesk@integrated.at/mail.brauncloud.at)
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::EventHandler::EventHandler" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/Ticket.pm line 5140.
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Event::NotificationEvent::Run" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/EventHandler.pm line 252.

Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Event::NotificationEvent::Run" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/EventHandler.pm line 252.
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Event::NotificationEvent::_SendNotificationToRecipients" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/Ticket/Event/NotificationEvent.pm line 245.
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Event::NotificationEvent::_SendNotification" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/Ticket/Event/NotificationEvent.pm line 522.
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Article::ArticleSend" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/Ticket/Event/NotificationEvent.pm line 862.
Deep recursion on subroutine "Kernel::System::Ticket::Article::ArticleCreate" at /opt/otrs/Kernel/System/Ticket/Article.pm line 2064.
Any help resolving this issue is appreciated!

Felix

Re: E-Mail retrival error with enabled event notification
Hi, thanks for the link.
What modifications do I have to do?
Just an info (might be important): The warning persists if the event-notifications are disabled and then the email retrival works perfectly.
regards,
Felix

Re: E-Mail retrival error with enabled event notification
maybe related to the notification event itself. Describe what it is/does.

Re: E-Mail retrival error with enabled event notification
Alright - found the reason:
I had overseen to set the Articlefilter for the ArtickeCreate event.
Once, I set it, mail retrieval worked as expected as well as the notification itself.
I am going to set this to SOLVED now.
regards,
Felix
