Set permission by user or company in FAQ
Hi there!
I build up the FAQ in OTRS. At the moment, it set permission for Article via there groups:
- Internal (Agent)
- External (Customer)
- Public(All)
I want to create more group and set permission myself, can I do it?
Thanks for your support in advance!

Yes, but if you are asking the question the answer is probably no.
Instead of asking for permission or ability to do a task, describe the task to be accomplished so that the answer someone provides assists you in accomplishing the task.

Which of the following describes your current problem:
1) You cannot add groups
2) You cannot add customers to groups (CustomerGroupSupport enabled?)
3) You cannot apply groups that have been provisioned to FAQ (need more information...)
4) You are able to to apply groups to FAQ but the permissions don't seem to work.

Re: Set permission by user or company in FAQ
Hi Crythias,
At the moment I can add group in Admin --> Group then add agent and specific customer into that group so I they can see or don't see the FAQ.
But as I mention, I want to create the group like public (all), internal (agent), external (Customer). My issue at the moment are:
- Where and How can I add new group?
- How can I add the specific customer into the new group?
Please help me with thanks!

Re: Set permission by user or company in FAQ
Do we have nay other way to create group and set permission in FAQ?
I want to create group like public (all), internal (agent), external (Customer), not by the way I already done.

Sorry. No. There's a way to provide group viewing the FAQ or not (Module Registration), but no way to say "Customer, you are only able to see *these* FAQs".hongphuc wrote:I want to create group like public (all), internal (agent), external (Customer), not by the way I already done.
