OTRS on demand or not?

hi its MAZRI here,

Just curious to know & hopefully somebody could help me out on this.
what is actually OTRS on demand? i've heard if its 'On Demand', u can't change anything or simply customize it. is that true?
I've trouble in these & how to know that our OTRS is 'On Demand' or not?..
hopefully somebody can help me out here...i'm really new in this OTRS sistem & my company need me to customize it..
currently im using the OTRS 3.0.6 version running under window xp...

thanx so much for the response upon my topic...yes the link u gave just now really do help me a lot tho
so in order for me to customize the otrs, i think i should get more information about the otrs installed through our server administrator...is that the right starting point?
i did have the documentations regarding the development of otrs which in my hand is 'OTRS 3.0 - Developer Manual'...its that really a correct reference for me to start with?..any suggestion on which documentation should i look for?...really new with OTRS actually so need a bit of help on where the starting point really are
