We would like to have the following but I'm not sure what method I need to use to accomplish it.
We must have customer authentication via LDAP. That part we have already solved.
We also already have solved the customer list via LDAP where all users we want inside OTRS are being looked up via LDAP.
However there are a few fields in OTRS (cell phone number, internal extension) that we do not currently track inside active directory and no plans to ever track that specific info.
It would be great if we can have the customers input their cell phone numbers and internal extensions once they have logged into OTRS. We would also like to have agents be able to modify that specific information if a user moves or changes numbers but forgets to update the info inside OTRS.
So basically, customer lookup and authentication via LDAP (AD) however certain extra fields (phone number, extension) be a separate read/write space for users or agents to modify independent of active directory.
