I recently realized that ticket age isn't stopping after ticket is closed. All of our closed or cancelled state have a state type of closed which I have assumed would stop the ticket age --- but it doesn't
Is this how OTRS is suppose to work (endless ticket age) if so how does that benefit that reports ??
if not, what could be causing the ticket age not to stop when setting a ticket to a closed state type??

Re: Stop ticket age
even a closed ticket will get older. So this is the "correct" behaviour in OTRS. You can not change it via config

Re: Stop ticket age
Sounds good ... one problem solved!! I guess I simply misunderstood the purpose of ticket age. Can someone list or point me somewhere where at time stamp are recorded??
If I can't use ticket age to calculate the lifetime of a ticket from creation to close than what time stamp can I use!!
Thanks

Re: Stop ticket age
related to tickets
ticket created on September 1st;
ticket closed on September 10th;
Ticket was running for 10 days; ticket age won't provide that information because from what I understood ticket age keeps on going forever
This is to establish service levels per services
