New Email ticket -StateID

Post by BreadMurderer »

Sorry I'm not adding any helpfulness here but I have just setup the email side of things and it appears to be "eating" the email from the account but it doesn't do anything with it. No ticket raised. What else do I need to configure?

Cheers,
Dan

Hi crythias,

I thought you were on to something there and that setting had NOT been changed. So I modified that and still nothing. Anything else I may need to tweak? How does it work in terms of assigning it a customer, etc?

Please post any relevant OTRS System Logs (or otrs.log).

The error message(s), if any, will tell you what happened.
Potential issues:
1) Postmaster works, ticket is created, but stores in a queue you don't have access to
2) Postmaster works, ticket is not created, but that's because it's failing to identify something from the mail.
3) Something else is poping the tickets
4) ???

Was just away too! Keep forgetting about the logs...

So my error is:

Wed Nov 30 13:20:07 2011 error OTRS-PostMasterMailbox.pl-10 No StateID for 'new'!

Now I thought "Aha! This will be a similar thing to the Priority...." but it appears any changes I make to the state are not saved...?

It is exactly the same reason, though you'll have to provide more information on

Most likely you'll have either invalidated the "new" state or renamed it.

I have renamed it to Submitted (well that's a state that is default for new tickets and has type 'new' - was this also called 'new' by default?) so when I changed it to this it continues to revert back to 'new'.....

Please ask your question again.
If it's "No State ID" that question has been answered.

It is still the no state ID issue.....

The only state I have that uses the new setting is: (taken directly from the states menu)

Submitted new New ticket submitted[...] valid 30/09/2011 09:32 29/09/2011 11:37

So its not invalid and I haven't renamed state type.... I'm confused.
