Script or mysql insert to merge tickets in the backend

Post by elupochi »

I am new to this Forum. I gathered a great amount of information and ideas on OTRS configuration. Started using OTRS only a month back but was able to accomplish so much, kudos to all the documentation and great folks here on the forum discussing and answering in details.

Question: I am able to merge tickets using the web front end. How can I achieve the same results running sql insert / update commands on the backend database or any other script? The PostmasterFollowUp etc are fine but I need to run this directly to bulk update tickets.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't think that anybody is doing this on SQL level

If you think about doing this per script, check the sources and create a Perl program using the API would be my recommendation

While not knowing why you want to merge: you could also use the Systemmonitoring interface to merge tickets
