I am wondering if there is any built in functionality or user created package that would cause OTRS to pop-up a notification when a new ticket enters a queue, for agents assigned to that queue.
The situation is that our helpdesk is run by student workers who are allowed to study when things are slow. We used our old email system (Groupwise) as a shared inbox and ran the Groupwise Notify application which would pop-up a window with a sound whenever a new email came in. This way our agents can browse the web and study without have to constantly check the inbox.
Is there anything similar for OTRS available?
