I am not 100% sure what the purpose of the Customer ID however ... is there a way to run a report at the end of the month and filter it by customer ID.
This will help with different properties.
Also, why can I not see the property ID's after I have them inputted. I have created several but wrote them all down as the Customer Companies section seems to be hidden???

This confused me as well. Based on this post, viewtopic.php?f=53&t=14864, the intention appears to be a company identifier. The linkage between the customer and company is pretty weak though. I suggested making the company (aka CustomerID) a picklist on the customer screen. That would make the relationship clear.
As far as seeing the companies, enter a wildcard in the Customer Companies screen's search field and it will show them to you. That's the only way I've found to see them.
I'm very new to OTRS, so I don't know what the development atmosphere is like, but I might have one of my developers take a look at it and see if we can make some improvements in this area.
