Good day,
I am busy setting up a help-desk for a group of companies, I seem to be basically finished with the ground work but there are a few small configurations I need to make.
I would like to add a filter on all incoming mails that will identify those with no subject and then either reject them or send them to a specific junk queue and notify the user that the format of their email is incomplete. i could send these to a queue but then tickets would be opened for them. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
I would like to setup e-mail notifications for when a ticket's status is changed to pending. I did find a way in a forum some time ago but can't seem to find it again. The method was to set it up using sysconfig, I am totally new to OTRs and I am not even sure where to begin looking in the sysconfig. I created a notifications(event) as follows:
Name: Pending
Recipient Groups: Customer
Event:TicketStateUpdate
State: Pending auto close+
Pending auto close-
Priority: 3
Queue: (all relevant queues)
Article Type: email-eternal
Subject: (custom Subject)
Text: (Custom text)
Notification Article Type: email-notification-ext
I will probably be posting up a few other questions soon as i set up the helpdesk...
Regards,
Notification and E-mail filtering

Re: Notification and E-mail filtering
Try to see PostMaster Filters in Admin Area. There you can configure some filters on message attributes and create actions to do with messages
