Fetchmail Causes CPU to go up to 100%

I've recently installed OTRS 3.1.10 on Ubunter Server 10.4. I've configured my Postmaster account and can successfully take out emails. When an email has an attachment pdf, or jpg the email never leaves the inbox or becomes a ticket. After a few minutes the CPU will ramp up to a 100% and I will have to halt or reboot the server. I have not been able to find anyone with this problem or I may not be using the correct search strings. Anyone know the first place I should look to see what is causing this?

maybe there is a problem with one of the core files in the ubuntu setup? try downloading from the ubuntu website itself and reinstall it. after that try downloading a new copy of otrs and then installing that?

you might have not enough resources like CPU, Meomory, Disk for this machine
