Whenever a customer creates a tickets via the customer web interface, it takes around 30 to 60 seconds for the page to load after clicking the submit button. Some customers even complain that they experience timeouts most of the time. What is the best way to solve this problem?
I also found a setting in SysConfig called WebUserAgent::Timeout. What does this actually do when I change the value?

The value is for proxy usage.
Are you using SMTP for sending emails? If yes, the speed for submitting mails is to slow. Switch to sendmail (*NIX) or to a local MTA (Windows)
