My Queues doesn't update

I can't quite figure out how make changes to "My Queues" effective immediately. Sometime they change, usually they don't. I've tried updating my own queues through "Edit your Preferences", I've tried through the Admin interface, I've even tried using my root@localhost superuser and the Admin interface. No luck. Is there a command, a cache that needs to be cleared, or what? It just doesn't update reliably no matter what I do.
