Tasks -Incidents

When we log certain types of tickets, there are certain "tasks" that agents would need to perform as part of that ticket such as checking whether the system works on a particular reference PC. Sending a Major Incident report etc

Other than creating a dynamic field to report this, is there any other way to link "tasks" or tickets?
Is this what the process management tool is for?
