Does anyone correctly install and run a OTRS version onto Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS?
If yes, can you please kindly share the version number?

Hi,

all OTRS versions are running on ubuntu server. you should use the latest.

OTRS 2025 SILVER (Prod)
OTRS 2025 auf Debian 12 (Test)
Znuny 7.x latest version testing auf Debian 12

Yes, install by source. It's not terribly difficult. Read the INSTALL.md file. You get the benefit of learning with knowing where all the pieces go.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
