OTRS database schema upgrade

Post by johnny89 »

Hi everyone,
my name is Nik, I'm trying to deploy OTRS 3.2.8 on a CentOS 6.4 (x64) box.. preferably before my boss comes back from vacation :) .
Here's the catch: I've got a 2.4.9 deployed on a separate box, and I've already tested out the upgrading process, I pretty much know what to expect. The general idea is to upgrade a backup copy of the deployment, to 3.2.8, for the sake upgrading the MySQL backend (I've tried feeding a 2.4.9 database into the 3.2.8 deployment.. it was a mess). The information that would be useful, how do I know the database schema has been upgraded at each step (2.4.9 -> 3.0.1 -> 3.1.2 -> ...)? It would be nice to know what the current schema version is. All I see is the otrs:checkDB.pl script and it gives me a quick integrity check, yes/no result (my perl skills aren't that great).

Thanks for any suggestions,
Nik
