Cannot Send Mails

Hi, I'm a newbie on OTRS just installed it last monday, I encounter this error also. My POP3 is ok but my smtp is not working. I already followed the procedure on how to setup SMTP on the sysconfig:sendmail but still fail. My current OTRS version is 3.0.10 I already installed the 3.2.9 version but i got the same error. So I thought installing lower version will eliminate the problem. My OS is Ubuntu 10.04, please help me to solve this.

Hi, I also encounter this problem, please help me to solve it. My OTRS version is 3.0.10 and my OS is Ubuntu 10.04. I am newbie in OTRS just installed it this las week. My POP3 settings works fine but SMTP failed cannot send email. I just used same setting for my SMTP and POP3. Hope you can help me on my problem.

What level of fail are your encountering in sending email? Is your entire system turning off? Are there error messages in System Log?

Yes, there is message in the system log.
