I have been getting an error when trying to fetch email from imaps account.Here is the error:

We have recently moved the otrs service to a new server, since the move we have been getting this error, When i fetch the emails from the admin interface , it works
I have checked the selinux and it is disabled. I have tried to run the otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl from the command line as otrs user and i'm getting the same error.
There are a lot of errors in the log files about
Can't create PID PostMasterMailbox, because it's already running (XXXXXX.XXXXX.XXX/18588)!
and i think it is because the otrs.postmaster mailbox.pl segfaults after it puts its pid into the database. I have deleted the PID entry from the database and tried to run it with no luck. I'm stuck.
