OTRS Test System pointing to production database

Hello. I am trying to set up a test instance of OTRS on the same virtual machine as the production system. I copied the production version to another folder, then set up a new configuration within Apache, set up a copy of the production database under another name, pointed to the new name with Config.pm, started up a test version of Scheduler, but the OTRS test system continues to point to the production database. I cannot find any configuration in the test system that is pointing to the production database but, whenever I update the test version, it also updates the production database.

Can someone tell me how to set up a test system or Is there some documentation somewhere that someone can point me to?
