Notifications in dashboard

Hello
Is there a way to configure notifications on dashboard. For example, can an agent be notified on dashboard when a note is added to a ticket locked by him /her? I think it would be a good ideas if agents could see notifications on dashboard instead of getting notified by email.
OTRS 3.3.x (private/testing) on Windows Server 2008 with MSSQL database.
OTRS 3.3.x (private/testing) on CentOS with MySQL database and apache

in the standard version you'll see the yellow star
