I've been looking at OTRS:ITSM for a few weeks now in a test environment. I think the only thing missing from my perspective is the ability to report on CIs related to tickets. I don't see any way to report on, for example, how many tickets were logged against webserver01 in the last 3 months.
In searching the forum, I found this discussion which says it can only be done via sql. If I came up with a query to generate it, is there a way to create a report that is visible/runnable from with OTRS using the sql query?
We don't have the ability to do this in our current system (a REALLY old version of RT) but it doesn't have the CMDB either. I'm curious if anyone using OTRS:ITSM has other ways of getting this information or if it isn't as important as I think it is?? Anyone know if this is a planned feature?
Thanks!
Gene
