How to configure smtp or any other mail protocol to send and recieve mail.

Hi guys,

I'm new to otrs, i installed otrs 4.0.5-01.noarch in red hat 6 Operating system. it was installed successfully. But i want to configure with mail for below purpose,

1. When a New ticket has been created notification send to group members.
2. When a bending ticket remain, that notification send to the responsible agents.
3.If the ticket closed, the notification will send to responsible agent, customer, group.
4. This all are send through the mail.
Please help me.
