How do you work with OTRS as critical service in your business?

Post by wheelshot »

Hi guys,

I was wondering how you guys were dealing with the helpdesk OTRS being a critical business function that needs to work nearly all the time? Are you guys working with load balancing OTRS (if so, how?), backup restore asap, other method?

In here, we're working like this for now cause we're just putting OTRS in production. We got a DB server and the app server working with 1 main Exchange mailbox.

DB replication shouldnt be too hard to handle (right?) but about the app, im a bit worried with the subjects I've seen on the forum here.

Thanks for your input!

I've already setup cluster with Corosync/Pacemaker. Depending on the infrastructure this works like a charm
Znuny and Znuny LTS running on CentOS / RHEL / Debian / SLES / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle / OpenLDAP / Active Directory / SSO

Use a test system - always.
