Transition Actions Add Minutes To Date Dynamic Field

We are working on setting up a new process in our system. We saw the article on assigning dynamic fields to other dynamic fields in the transition action. This article was very helpful, but only got us half way.

We would like to take this one step further and perform certain functions to the value. For instance, we have a due date field that is being assigned based on the persons hire date. We would like to add 20 hours to the hire date and assign the new value to the due date. Is this possible?
