Hi Folks,
I am relatively new to Znuny, but I really like it so far.
I realised that we still use Znuny 6.5.2 and there are plenty of minor Updates.
The latest version is 6.5.16 and I found no clear description how to update these minor versions.
I read through the whole update process for 6.4 to 6.5 and that every update has to be done if you go for example from 6.1 to 6.5.
But for the minor ones, is the process the same?
Do I go through every one of the minor jumps, like 6.5.2 to 6.5.3, then 6.5.3 to 6.5.4 and so on?
Or can I just jump to the latest?
Thanks for the advice.
Best wishes
Dennis

Hi,
a patch level update from 6.5.2 to 6.5.16 can be done directly. You mustn't go through all the patch level versions.
Shawn.

Hi Shawn,
thanks a lot for the very fast answer.
I was hoping for that answer.
The rest of the update process stays the same as the 6.4 to 6.5 update?
Or is there anything special to consider or to be aware of?

Re: How to Update to higher Minor Version
Hi @shawnbeasley,
quick question on this, because I think about it every time doing minor updates
When doing minor updates, should the db-migrate script be called as well? Or is this only mandatory for major updates?
I'm usually running the migration script but sometimes I'm wondering if this is necessary though.
Thanks & BR,
Paul

Always. Recommended for patch level updates (I never do it without), mandatory for minor and major upgrades.paulfolkers wrote: ↑02 Sep 2025, 09:05 When doing minor updates, should the db-migrate script be called as well?
