Hello there,
We've been using OTRS for some time and we are very happy with it's performance. Recently we decided to upgrade to version 2.4 and I noticed that there is an IT inventory module (Config Item). Is there any way to automate the collection of data from the computres and entering it into OTRS? If it must be done manual it is impossible to keep track of all the changes that happen - new hardware, OS updates etc. Other systems use some kind of deamon or scanner for this task.

Re: Automated collection of Computers
You probably might consider Spiceworks for that task.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Re: Automated collection of Computers
Thank you! I'm downloading it to test it.
Are there plans for such functionality in OTRS or maybe automated data import from other software?

Hi, I have a question about using a CVS file first if you were kind enough to tell you specifically the structure of CVS, then Strengthen me if the table is configitem, because I do not understand very well how the data is input to create inventory.
thank you very much for the help
