Is it possible to create custom states like "in resolution" and allow agents to change tickets status?

Check out "State Managment" via the admin backend

Its directly in the admin backend:
"Status"
Btw.: Plz fill your signature with your otrs version etc., then everyone who reads your posts directly knows this informations (which are almost always important to help)

Thanks for the advice on the signature, I'm such a newbie... anyway I've updated mine.
I already created a new state but a still can't apply it...I can't see dropdown menu or anything similar where a can change the state,
for instence I have a ticket that was pendent waiting for a external team to perform a task, now it's up to me to continue the ticket to it's conclusion...
