New Install - start with 3.0 betas?

We are a small organization that is using a pretty minimal feature set of the suite. 5 agents, maybe 50 internal customers.

Is there a roadmap page with a timeline? Is it early or late in the beta cycle? (meaning 4 betas planned or 10?)

Should we start with 3.0b3?

will the 2.4.x upgrade path be trivial or involved?

As usual with OTRS releases we have a cycle of beta’s and then the release candidate, after that the stable release. Below are the planned dates for upcoming releases:

Beta 3 – 13th September 2010
Beta 4 – 27th September 2010
Beta 5 – 11th October 2010
Beta 6 – 25th October 2010
Beta 7 – 8th November 2010
RC1 – 22nd November 2010
Stable – 1st December 2010

Considering the admonition on this forum to not run the beta for production or upgrade, OTRS must be planning a reasonable upgrade path when the stable is released.
