We use our current Servicedesk solution to keep track of the support contracts we have with various companies. When a contract is about to expire we get an e-mail alert to tell us about it so we can arrange a renewal if necessary.
What would be the best method of handling this in OTRS ITSM?
We were thinking that adding a new Config Class called "Contract" with the relevant fields would allow the contracts to be added to the Service Catalogue. This would be perfect. However, I can't see a way of sending alerts when the contract expiry date is approaching.
Can anyone assist with this please?
Thank you.

Re: Handling Contracts & Their Expirations
I'd create a queue for Contracts, create a new State: pending contract expiration of type Pending Reminder and a State: contract expired of type open or closed (depends how you want to handle expiration).
