[SOLVED] Upgrade from 2.4.7+ITSM2.1.1 to 3.0.5+ITSM3.0beta2

Good day.

Please tell me, what steps I must do to upgrade from OTRS 2.4.7 with ITSM 2.1.1 to OTRS 3.0.5 with ITSM 3.0 beta2. It is said that ITSM 2.1.1 is not compatible with OTRS 3.0.5.

I will do on testing machine first. If it goes smoothly and it won't crash my installation, after some testing, I'll do our production machine.

Or will you advise me to wait for the first stable ITSM 3 for production use?

hi,
today, for the purpose you mentioned, I followed this path (roughly):

- Downloaded new sources I needed from http://otrs.org/downloads/
- Upgraded OTRS, http://doc.otrs.org/3.0/en/html/upgrading.html
- Upgraded ITSM packages, http://ftp.otrs.org/pub/otrs/itsm/INSTALL-3.0.ITSM
- Consulted OTRS system log for some minor permissions problems
