Small "public meaning research" between OTRS users

Post by jakub-drap »

Hi,
Can You tell me:
1) do You "edit" OTRS only via configuration in Admin console?
or
2) do You also make changes in the source code? (if the configuration options are insufficient)
Thanks very much for replies.
I just want to make an idea about the ratio between the size of Group 1 and Group 2.

99.99% via the webinterface and Config.pm
only VERY small portion on the source code
Produktiv:
OTRS 6.0.13/ ITSM 6.0.13
OS: SUSE Linux (SLES 12, Leap), MySql 5.5.x, 5.6.x

If changing Config.pm means changing the source code, I'd say:
Installation: about 20%-40% Config.pm (depending on how much you use default settings in the control panel, and if you're using Active Directory/alternative databases).

After installation, changes to Config.pm are (should be) limited, and the rest, generally, is control panel/Admin console.

Source code: Generally, only if you need to change *certain* display behaviors (edit/customize .dtl/themes/skins).
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
