Issue with otrs.CleanUp.pl and Sessions

otrs.CleanUp.pl seems to be killing all of our sessions; what exactly is this script doing. This was not an issue in our previous version 2.4.5 when I upgraded to otrs 3 this issue came into light. Regardless of whatever session settings I use; the sessions then become invalid after the CleanUp runs. So the next page I try to load brings me back to the login page. Anyone have similar issues and or know of a resolution?
