Split the ticket. To prevent this in the future change the Queue's followup on close from possible to new.

I'm very sorry to necropost on this subject, but this topic is the closest to what i'm looking for.

I started with the same problem (split tickets and change queue), but came across a different problem. Every incoming ticket has an autoreply function, that works perfectly with standard tickets. But those tickets that are created after a closed-followup don't get the autoreply at all.
So if we close a ticket **4000, the new one wil be **4001, but the system doesn't send any form of notification about this.

I tried to create an "auto reply/new ticket" type of message, but it still doesn't work.

That's exactly the autoreply you need. Just make sure it's assigned to the queue.
