add close button on customer ticket zoom

hi all?

i want my customers to be able to add notes without them having to change the state of a ticket. i am able to remove the next state on ticket zoom from sysconfig. The issue then is i also want them to be able to close their tickets. i was tinking of adding a button that once clicked sets the state of the ticket to closed..

any ideas on how to solve this greatly appreciated.
