SMTP. mail setup for Exchange 2007

Dear all,

I have done the necessary setup, as per the documentation, on allowing our Ms Exchange Server 2007 to forward mails for the OTRS system.

Any ideas on how to go about this?

What exactly do you mean forward emails?

You're going to pop3 or IMAP the Exchange box email for OTRS, which removes all emails.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Dear crythias ,

What I mean by forward is that OTRS sends mails through Ms Exchange 2007 to users or administrators. This is not happening either when I create a ticket or close a ticket.

Please help.

How did you create the ticket? If it was via the "Phone Ticket" method, then this does not send out an email.

How did you close the ticket? If it was via the "close" link, then this just adds a note to the ticket, it does not send an email.

Have a look at the article list in those tickets you're having problems with, look at the "type" column - are any of the articles system-email or agent-email?
OTRS 3.2.11 on Centos 6.4 with MySQL 5.0. Agents and internal customers authenticate via Active Directory.
