Error sending emails to Agents

Hi all at OTRS User Forums,

I have set a postmaster mail account (gmail) to perform the management of the OTRS emails. Even though the system seemed to work just fine, today that I had an email/ticket overload from customers and agents, I kept getting the following error in my system log:

FACILITY: OTRS-PostMasterMailbox.pl-10
MESSAGE: Can't send to 'blah-blah@blah-blah': 4524.3.2 Connection rate limit exceeded

The above action happened a number of times today, in a non-systematic way and the tickets were not delivered.
Could you please help me??? :(

thats not an OTRS issue. Please contact Gmail Support or change the email provider

I have had strange behavior when using free web based email system with OTRS. Not sure how your environment is setup but I'd recommend using the corporate email or local setup instead. Plus you are more in control of your own system than a 3-rd party one

First of all, thank you for your replies.

@ andersonserra: Yes, I can connect with my email provider and I can see all my emails in there. However, most of these emails failed to reach my OTRS platform. I think that the problem was an unexpected ticket load for 20 minutes or so...

@ SLESSARD: You are right, I will try and set something up locally
